Ebb and Flow hydroponic table on the drain cycle. Pump turned off and all trays are draining into each other in series and out into the fish pond. The plants are being started for our green drinks that Laura makes daily.

A little less than 2 months later, the Basil plant is still growing and even the bottom leaves are still healthy! We left this in the aggressive growth stage, there is no reason to move the basil to the flowering stage. Once trimmed the basil will continue to grow! We refrained from eating it so that we could see how well it would do without intervention…but I am calling this experiment a success and pesto will be had…this weekend!!

This is a Ebb and Flow system that is chained together with smaller trays, grow containers all in Ebb and Flow. As the first tray fills the overflow feeds feeds the next below it and the process is repeated until the water returns to the fish.

Here I answer a question about fitting the net pot into an appropriate container. Its a trial and error process, simply carry your net pot around until you find a container that will accommodate its diameter.
