Question by Kit Wong: Hydroponic gardening ?
I’m a 15 years old boy and I quite love gardening. And i saw it at one of the show at the discovery channel. Can I simply practice hydroponic gardening just using a bottle, add some water and dip the plant into the water ?? Or i must add some sugar into the water and get a pump that pump air into the water ??
Can i put some fertilizer ?? i mean water that have fertilizer dissolved in it ??

In addition to the pump, you wiull need nutrients. Plants need more than sugar.
Look online for liquid nutrients. The Aerogarden is a great way to get it all ready-made.

fill the bucket with water to a few inches of the top
place the air stone on the bottom
put on the top and verify water level about 2″ from top
put it hydroton and turn on pump
you should see small bubbles coming up
now plant your started plant
use hydroponic nutrients in the water
change the water every 2 weeks
run the pump constantly good airflow is vital
you could grow a beanstalk with a set like this
